...yes, of course i 'buy things with dollars'..that's all they take at the grocery store...that's all the government accepts for property taxes so that i may lay my head in the house i built and not in a refrigerator box under a bridge...
...LARGELY, the only 'tangible value' the green ragcloth rectangles have is through FORCED USAGE...i.e. absent 'government' demanding that we use 'dollars' to pay taxes, use as a unit of account through legal tender laws, etc., those little green rectangles [and bank ledger entries, etc.] are rendered worthless except for some 'tangible value' as fire starter, wallpaper, a collector's item, etc...
...as for gold today it is NOT 'valuable' to use as 'currency'...the grocery store and the tax-man, etc., may accept gold at the 'face value' stamped on the coin...but imo you'd have to be a goddamned republicrat fool to use a one ounce gold coin for which you paid $1500 to pay off $50 [stamped value on the coin] of tax liability!!...btw, 'gold' has 'intrinsic value' outside of any pronouncements/laws made by legislators full of village-idiot republicrats...in fact, the village idiots have done many things to suppress the 'currency value' [measured in dollars] of gold/silver...[btw, i am certainly not a 'gold-money bug'!!]
...you ALWAYS miss my main point...it's not WHAT we use 'as money'...IT'S WHO CREATES/ISSUES/GETS TO USE IT IN 'THE FIRST ROUND OF SPENDING' AND HOW...
...for example, animal manure has been used 'as money'...human manure could be used also...so let's say 'the government' declared that we must use 'humanure' to pay our taxes...but YOUR poop didn't count as money...only poop from certain bluebloods was 'legal tender'...in other words, what if only certain bluebloods, etc. privileged individuals got to issue new 'money' and only they got to use it in 'the first round of spending'?... i bet you wouldn't like that scenario...but essentially you are under the same unjust, intolerable system today where privileged individuals have virtually enslaved you/us because of their 'legalized'/institutionalized monetary privilege$...
...i hate to say it but you, like 99% plus of people i know, lack an honest understanding of monetary reality...i.e. the basic origin and nature of 'money'...until you gain some honest understanding of monetary REALITY-and you'll have to do this LARGELY on your own-- you'll continue to be lost...no help creating an honest, egalitarian society...but then again, maybe you prefer a goddamned fool republicrat society!..
